BCICA Quality Assurance Certification Program is Growing

The BCICA has not yet completed its fiscal year; however, it can report that projects are up over 30% compared to last fiscal year. The engineering community has provided positive feedback on the Quality Assurance Certification program, calling the reports and inspections extremely helpful and noting a high quality of work on QAC projects. While this growth is encouraging, the association has higher goals, and the QAC program is the best tool for reaching them by improving quality in the marketplace.

Inspections

The BCICA currently uses two inspection companies. Neither came from mechanical insulation, but both have improved significantly from where they started. Both companies are working to achieve the highest standards in inspections and reporting. If you have concerns or suggestions for improving any stage of the inspection process, please contact the BCICA.

Compliance

In the QAC Program, all companies are required to report to the BCICA with QAC Projects that they have tendered. Why? This is done for budgeting and to make sure that QAC projects are done by BCICA members. Sometimes non-BCICA mechanical insulators and self-performers do QAC work, and the association knows this because these contractors have reached out to the BCICA for inspections demanded by the engineering community. The BCICA does not inspect work that is not completed by a member company. Register your projects at qacadmin@bcica.org
