The BCICA has been a functioning provincial association for over six decades. This is an incredible run of leadership in the mechanical insulation industry. As we move forward in 2025, we need to remember why we have an association. Our Constitution states:
The purposes of the Association are:
To improve and extend knowledge, techniques and skills in the mechanical insulation industry; to advance, develop and present, directly or indirectly, education and training programs for that industry; and to further co-operation among persons, firms and corporations engaged in the mechanical insulation contracting business in British Columbia.
To study all types of problems relating to the mechanical insulation contracting business and to aid in the solution thereof; and generally to promote the highest standards of operating efficiency among persons, firms and corporations engaged in the mechanical insulation contracting business.
To promote the highest standard of business ethics among persons, firms and corporations engaged in the mechanical insulation contracting business.
To co-operate with organizations having similar or allied objectives and, without limiting the generality thereof, to join, associate with, affiliate with or take into membership such other organizations upon such terms and conditions as may be mutually desirable.
To inform the mechanical insulation industry of new techniques and development.
The BCICA is in a very good place; however, we are not going to become complacent. As a member of the BCICA, your participation, opinion, and attendance are very important. The association is fortunate to have a strong board that is very passionate about improving the mechanical insulation industry in BC. But its members cannot do it alone.
